Almost one in two people diagnosed with cancer find the emotional impact more difficult to cope with than the physical effects, a survey suggests.
More than a quarter say the disease has affected their relationship with their partner, and of those 23% say the relationship has ended.
The survey was carried out for the charity Macmillan Cancer Relief, which is refocusing its work to provide more social and welfare help for people living with cancer and is changing its name to Macmillan Cancer Support.
