Tell us: what are your super-specific tips for getting to sleep?

We want to hear about the elaborate routines and items people use to get some shut-eye

The thermostat set precisely to the same temperature every night. Nobody else in the bed with you. Phone safely tucked away in the next room. While some fall asleep as soon as their heads touch the pillow, many toss and turn for hours before finally drifting off, or spend interminable stretches of time staring into the dark in the wee hours.

So if something works, it seems wise to stick with it – with almost superstitious fervor. Do you need a certain number of pillows, or reduce screen time before bed? Or perhaps you have a gadget you swear by? Is there a TV show you absolutely need to play in the background?

We want to hear about your hyper-specific sleep set-ups. What lengths have you gone to in order to get a good night’s rest?
